Dinner Date: Piccino

Monday, 10 June 2013

As I sit at my desk {procrastinating} studying for finals with my glass of white, I thought about sharing this with you.

Our friend came into town this past weekend so we went to dinner to catch up. As you may know, I love trying new restaurants and we decided on this little Italian cafe close to my place.

I absolutely LOVED this restaurant. The patrons were mostly local home owners and families. It had a great inclusive atmosphere and the ambiance was beautiful. This cafe really took it’s all in the details to heart. From the hanging light fixtures, to the milk bottle water jugs, to the glass wine decanters – this place had great flare.

This is the kind of place you can take your out of town guests where you can enjoy a long meal uninterrupted but it is also where I could go sit with a book or my iPad and enjoy a glass of wine and a crispy, thin crust, authentic Italian pizza.

The menu is simple, but SPOT on {and bonus! it changes seasonally}. It offers multiple courses and small bites. The wine menu is very extensive and the decor was magnificent.

I will definitely be making the trip back over there soon and I want to try their funghi pizze and pickled vegetable antipasti.

Where do you like to go for great ambiance and even better food?
