I officially booked my flight to Seattle for the International Association of Dental Research (American Association of Dental Research) Annual conference!
I will be presenting my research project titled Mechanism of BMP-Akt pathway cooperativity in a Drosophila model of epithelial plasticity. (Look me up!) Last year I was awarded a National AADR Summer Research Fellowship (1 of 20 awarded) which allowed me to do a full-time research project during the summer.
Part of the fellowship requires presenting said research at the annual IADR/AADR conference. This year’s conference is in Seattle, Washington! I have never visited and I am very excited to be in an incredible city and presenting my research with my fellow UCSF researchers all while being surrounded by the innovative and field-changing dental research being done around the world. WOO!
Also, I was awarded a Bloc Travel Grant so this lovely trip won’t break the bank ;].
Seattle, I’ll see you in March!
