My day began with an unwelcome, passive aggressive email from a colleague and didn’t get better from there. Throughout the morning I was feeling flustered and edgy.

My typical lunch break would have consisted of bitching and complaining to a girl friend. But today I wanted to take a more enlightened approach to my stresses.

Instead of wasting my lunch break with chatter, my friend and I spent our lunch doing meditative breathing and cleansing pranayama. I am incredibly grateful for this experience.

I felt refreshed and rejuvenated. I feel empowered and blessed. I plan to begin a more regular and mindful meditation practice.
