The Italians are on to something – live with pleasure. I feel like my life has always been go, go, go with no time to stop and smell the roses. This ensures that I will get burnt out and exhausted. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to focus on experiencing pleasure every day {my resolution is still holding up in August, what??}. This means finding pleasures – from the small daily things, to big once-in-a-while moments – every day of my life. I wanted to focus on experiencing life, not just passing through it.
Each day, I’ve been trying to find the joy and pleasure in every activity, in every meal, and in all my surroundings. I will tell you that in seeking daily pleasure, I’ve come to be more appreciative of the little things and I am much happier.
