This quote by Oscar Wilde is an oldie but goodie. I see it pop up all over Twitter and Pinterest - for a good reason. Although Mr. Wilde was one odd fellow, he got this one right.
{Comparison is the thief of joy, so they say}. I sometimes I get these negative thoughts of: “I wish I was more like her, I wish I was more creative, I wish I dressed better,” and on and on. I fall into the comparison trap and try to act like, dress like, and be like this or that person.
So this month, I am going to actively focus on taking Mr. Wilde’s advice.
// I need to remember that I am not the best at everything.
// I will admire and appreciate my accomplishments instead of comparing them to others.
// Instead of envy, I will applaud. Instead of being jealous, I will be inspired.
How do you focus on being yourself? How do you express your individuality?
