Happy Summer Solstice everyone! Can you believe that it is summer already? This morning, I awoke to the glorious sunshine streaming through my window – I love summer.
“Summer afternoon – summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.”
- Henry James
Although summer in SF is much different than summer in LA, I enjoy this time of year very much. Summer means long nights, warm air, sun dresses, and drinking lots of iced tea.
While I will be spending most of my summer in the dental clinic, I will make it my solemn effort to capture as much of the summer essence that I can. I will wear my hair down with all its natural texture. I will put away the concealers and ignore the high maintenance beauty routine. I will take long walks along the water and eat as many fresh foods as possible.
Today, I will spend some time outside and soak in the heavenly rays. And this evening, my parents-in-law are coming up to celebrate their wedding anniversary with us.
What will you do on the longest day of the year?
P.S. I also love this time of year because both our wedding anniversary and my birthday are in July, yay!
