While straightening up my house 30 times a day and making sure everything is at a right angle is so incredibly fun, this type-A control freak has needed a creative outlet for some time. While getting some sunshine is great, sipping some wine is greater, and shoveling ice cream into my mouth is the greatest, I have needed a way to nurture and cultivate other parts of myself - my creative side.

I heard about bullet journaling a while back and it peaked my interest early on. Wait what? A planner AND you design it yourself to suit your needs AND I get to use oodles of stationary while I'm at it? I'M IN.

After getting some inspiration from others in the BuJo community, I dove in and started my own bullet journal at the New Year. And I am so. glad. that. I. did.

What has naturally followed has been an ignition of my creative side. I look forward to making my weekly spreads, designing my layouts, and doodling to my heart's content. This has also allowed me to pick up a new hobby - watercoloring.

I have always been so intimidated by painting because the perfectionist side of me did not even know where to start. But where is the fun in that?
