Baby book & a sponsor spotlight

Happy Monday! This morning I woke up feeling quite refreshed. I’m glad I took the weekend to relax, recharge, and get some good sleep. Currently, I’m sipping on some coffee and eating a Panera cinnamon crunch bagel and grapefruit with sugar. I don’t have a patient today so I’m going to catch up on some emails, phone calls, and travel preparations.

This weekend, I also got to catch up on one of my favorite hobbies - scrapbooking. I can do some serious damage at craft stores {you can always find me lost in the sticker aisles}. When I found out I was pregnant, I first jumped for joy and then woke Paul up by shoving the pregnancy test in his face. After the initial shock, I wanted to find a creative way to document this pregnancy.

I am using a SMASH book for this baby book. If you’ve never heard of SMASH books, you should go get one. I’ve been chronicling my pregnancy symptoms, ultrasound photos, and any other thoughts and feelings I’ve been having about this beautiful experience. I also need to order some photo prints online after the holidays so I can add those in too.

What is great about these SMASH books is that they already have everything you need to get started with scrapbooking - colorful paper and a dual function pen and glue stick. You just need to add your photos, magazine clippings, stickers, and any other mementos you have. I plan to use this book to document the whole pregnancy and the first year of life. Yay!

Do you enjoy scrapbooking? What are your favorite things to add to your scrapbooks?

I’d like to introduce you to my friend Shannon over at Smile and Write! Her writing always has a way of speaking to me.

Hi my name is Shannon and I blog over at Smile and Write. I am a mom of two girlies under the age of two so life is hectic, crazy, messy but full of love. In my former life I was a kindergarten teacher for seven years and miss it but am thankful to have this time to teach my own little ones. I love running, food, and learning new things.

My blog is about making beauty in ALL things. Almost three years ago I lost my brother to a drunk driver and my world crashed with it. That is one thing I could not wrap my brain around and had a very hard time accepting it. Since then, it has taken me a long time to realize that if beauty can’t be found in something, it is my job to MAKE beauty out if it. So in essence this is why I am here, to make beauty out of all things and this is what you can find when you visit my blog and I hope you do!

Thanks for sharing Shannon!
