Life 365 | Week 22

It’s just another manic Monday.

Hi all! I am particularly sleepy this morning! Emma has been sleeping half good….if that makes any sense. Basically, every other feeding she goes down to sleep easily and between the other feedings she wants to play and whine and scream. Oy vey.

Saturday, Paul and Brian had a fun golf day so Grace and I hung out at my apartment and had a movie marathon. Then, we all had yummy mojitos and then went out to dinner for sushi, yum! It was so nice to have my big bowl of raw fish hehe. Thanks Grace for holding Emma so I could eat with both hands!

Here are last week’s photos.

TWENTY-SIX Apparently she’s part lizard.

TWENTY-SEVEN Contrary to what this face may say, she really does love the car seat.

TWENTY-EIGHT YAY! We finally found a solution. She loves the Ergo baby carrier. Now mommy can use both hands.

TWENTY-NINE She doesn’t like to be put down, but when she’s already pretty milk-drunk she doesn’t mind too much. Hello, kangaroo arms

THIRTY These two melt my heart. GAHHSOCUTE.

THIRTY-ONE She is officially smiling now! It is so freaking precious. I DIE. She keeps us all entertained.

FIRST Emma doesn’t always appreciate my photo sessions, nor the cute outfits I force her to wear. Sorry girlfriend, momma’s gotta do it.

I have my postpartum visit tomorrow! Hopefully I’ll get the health all-clear to resume normal life.

Life 365 | Week 21

May has gone by incredibly fast, don’t you think? Every day has been an adventure and I can’t believe it’s only been four weeks. This week, Emma has her one-month check-up. She is a whole different baby now! I can’t wait to see how much she’s grown. She’s definitely a bean stalk. I will be posting a one-month update this week, so stay tuned!

Here are last week’s photos.

NINETEEN No joke, she managed to get her blanket wrapped around her face while we were hanging out at Grace’s. Grace and I were really impressed.

TWENTY She is showing you her hip bump. And see how long her arms are?? She barely fits into her newborn onsies anymore.

TWENTY-ONE My husband is so sweet that my teeth hurt!!

TWENTY-TWOYou like me? You really like me!

TWENTY-THREE Ruffled baby butts - oh, come on!

TWENTY-FOUR Poor baby with her acne. {Anyone else just have a middle school flash back?}

TWENTY-FIVE We had a wonderful Sunday brunch with our friends Grace and Brian. We started with mimosas and bloodies then moved to Irish coffees. But once the guys started taking shots called “duck farts”, I had to stop drinking haha.

Happy Memorial Day! God bless all those who serve and have served our nation. We honor you.

Life 365 | Week 20

Emma is three weeks old today! Just when I think she has figured out this sleep thing, she throws a wrench in it and wakes up every other hour. Har har. Thank God for coffee. Seriously. Here are last week’s photos.

TWELVE This girl gets seriously milk drunk. If only that meant she could sleep longer stretches at night…

THIRTEEN We love our walks, except when the wind can take the stroller parasailing.

FOURTEEN Does this make me a bad mother?

FIFTEEN Grace, aka my sanity savior. We had a wonderful wine and dining evening.

SIXTEEN Paul and I hit a few tennis balls around on Friday. It was SO great to get back on the court. This girl still has it.

SEVENTEEN I don’t even know what to say about this face, but I love it.

EIGHTEEN My best friend Cassie came to meet Emma!

Life 365 | Week 19

We survived another week everyone! Baby Emma sure keeps us on our toes. I’m not going to lie, it’s tough. I’ve cried a lot. I’m tired all the time. I’m constantly worrying about her - Is she fed? Is she wet? Can she breathe? Is she warm enough? Et cetera. et cetera.

But when I am able to look into her beautiful face, I am overcome with a sense of calm and determination. I have enjoyed capturing her cuteness {PERFECTION} from moment to moment. She makes me indescribably happy. Here are last week’s Life 365 photos.

5 :: This girl has got some length to her. My mom is convinced she’ll be at least 5'10".

6 :: Cheeks on cheeks on cheeks on cheeks.

7 :: Paul captured this photo of Emma and me sleeping together on his belly. I don’t know how Emma slept with me snoring in her ear.

8 :: This is my sleep-deprived-yet-extremely-happy-and-in-love face.

9 :: The weather has been gorgeous and we’ve enjoyed getting out of the house for walks.

10 :: My dad came to visit this weekend and Emma finally got to me her Lolo.

11 :: This face. OHMYGOSHSOCUTE.

Paul went back to work today. Wish us luck. I’ll send out a smoke signal if we need help.

Life 365 | Weeks 17 & 18

I’m a week behind on my Life 365 photos due to a very special reason. Our little girl was born last Monday, yay! This has been an incredibly amazing but also rough experience. We survived the first week with no limbs lost…just minds.

Get ready to see a lot of baby cuteness.

21 :: I was trying any and all natural induction techniques. Paul went out and got me fresh pineapple. It was really yummy, but we would still be a week away from delivery.

22 :: 40 weeks! Due date!

23 :: Doing some last minute baby reading.

24 :: Emma wanted to play cards too.

25 :: I made some yummy puppy chow. What else do I do when I want to kill time?

26 :: Paul was trying to cheer me up. He’s a silly goose.

27 :: We finally made it to the hospital! Look at that excited face!

28 :: Our precious, perfect little one was born at 7:22 am!

29 :: GAHH, these two are my favorites.

30 :: So, they let us just take home a tiny human from the hospital. Say what??

1 :: Heading to her first doctor’s appointment. Hi cone head.

2 :: First sponge bath at home. She actually really liked it. Like momma, like daughter.

3 :: I tried out my Moby wrap. Hashtag babywearing! {Don’t mind the humongous bags under my eyes}

4 :: I could spread her on a cracker.

This motherhood thing is crazy ya’ll.
