Life

At the moment

Happy Friday party people! Here is what I am up to at the moment.

EATING my favorite cheese onion bagels from a local bagel shop. Hashtag, gluttony.

DRINKING water! It’s been so hot. Like, hotter than hades.

READINGThe Mortal Instruments City of Bones.

PLAYINGBehind the Light by Phillip Phillips. He’s one talented son of a gun.

LOVING spending time with family. And they are loving on little Emma’s deliciousness.

WATCHING the Kate Plus 8 special on TLC. Oh sweet nostalgia!

WISHING this week would never end. Go away reality.

CELEBRATING my sister’s graduation. She’s a smartie pants.

NEEDING my eyebrows shaped. It’s like two fuzzy caterpillars up there.

WEARING my PJs… still. Vacation, right?

FEELING content and happy. As a clam. (Where does that expression even come from?)

MARVELING at my adorable baby girl. She’s scrumptious. But I promise I won’t eat her up, okay maybe. (I’m not that crazy… maybe)

Tomorrow is my sister’s graduation party (yay!) and we head back to San Francisco on Sunday (boo!). This has been a wonderful week! I hope you all have a fantabulous weekend!

(Wait, that’s not a word, but oh well, please don’t leave me.)

Life 365 | Week 24

Holy chocolate starfish batman, now I remember what it’s like to be hot. Paul, Emma, and I are visiting family in Southern California and I am reminded of growing up in the HEAT. Like the kind where your legs stick to everything because you’re sweating all over the place. Attractive.

Emma did great on our drive down on Saturday. She slept most of the way and we stopped to eat only once. She had a hard time adjusting to a new sleep environment the first night, but last night she had a six hour stretch of sleep. Is this real life?

We took her swimming for the first time yesterday. I’m still not entirely sure if she liked it. Her expression was a mixture between this water feels kind of nice and how could you do this to me mother?

We will be making our rounds and spending time with our family this week. Emma has been a big hit so far. She’ll be signing autographs any day now.

Here are last week’s life 365 photos.

NINE If she had a stream of drool running down her face, she’d be the spittin’ image of her daddy.

TEN “Don’t let this adorable onsie fool you, I can be quite mischievous. Muahaha.” - Dr. Evil Baby

ELEVEN I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Brunch is God’s meal. Plus, Emma seems to enjoy bacon-infused breast milk.

TWELVE She is pretty mesmerized by this toy we hang near her changing table. Either that, or she’s pooping again.

THIRTEETN “Just try to resist this face… Go on, I dare you!”

FOURTEEN Paul always asks me what I’m doing when I set up for these photos. Um, because they are funny, don’t ask questions!

FIFTEEN “What is this blue stuff? What are we doing here? What are you doing to me mother?”

Have a great week everyone!

Road trippin'

Happy Friday the 13th! Spooky and eerie and scary, oh my! You know what is really spooky? The complete lack of food in my fridge…oh the horror! It’s a good thing we are heading out of town. Oh, nice segue Samantha.

Tomorrow morning we are leaving for Southern California on Emma’s first road trip! We have rented a Uhaul for all the baby stuff (okay, not really, but we do have a lot of crap to bring. Emma insists she needs all her shoes and evening gowns). Paul has a week off from work and my maternity leave is almost over (okay, panic). We are so excited to see our families and Emma gets to meet her aunties, uncles, and cousins.

Hopefully she does well in the car for that long. And I hope the cow manure smell off the 5 isn’t too potent tomorrow, there will be enough poop smells in the car with Emma aboard, thank you very much.

I don’t know if I will get around to posting much on the blog during our trip so be sure to follow along on Instagram and Twitter for trip updates and (lots and lots of) pictures.

See, Emma is very excited about this trip. Or she’s pooping, it’s one of the two.

Life 365 | Week 23

Why hello there all you beautiful people. Happy Monday to you! I am feeling quite well rested this morning so obviously we’ve entered an alternate universe. Emma actually slept in her bassinet. I better buy a lottery ticket.

This weekend we went to SF Street Food which is pretty stinkin’ awesome. Basically, 10+ food trucks just hang out for our eating pleasure. I got this crazy chicken sandwich that I would not even be able to do justice if I tried to describe it. Grace and I also got bottomless mimosas, that’s right, BOTTOMLESS. Oh day drinking… I know where I’ll be taking my out of town guests for a while.

Paul and I watched Monuments Men last night, and by golly, that is a good movie. I’m a sucker for the George Clooney-Matt Damon combo, but I really enjoyed this movie. Have you seen it?

I also found salted caramel coffee creamer at the grocery store, so overall, I’d say it was a good weekend.

Any whoooo, here are last week’s photos.

TWO Her cub is KILLING ME.

THREE This is how I class up pre-packaged doughnuts. That’s right, I know you’re jealous.

FOUR This face. I cannot handle it. That newborn onesie is getting stretched to its limits however.

FIVE Grace, Emma, and I had a PJ party on Thursday. Grace made Emma this tutu and I died a little bit from all the cuteness.

SIX I guess we look alike.

SEVENHer name was Lola, she was a show girl… At the copa, Copacabana!

EIGHT She has got her tough face on. Good thing she’s wearing her muscle tee.

Have a good week!
