Maternity photos

These last few weeks of pregnancy have been pretty rough, physically and emotionally. Even so, I feel incredibly blessed to be pregnant and to be expanding our little family. I am very excited to share some of our maternity photos that we took a couple of weekends ago. They turned out so beautifully and I am so glad that we were able to capture this time in our lives.

Life 365 | Week 14

Oh Monday - I still don’t really know how I feel about you. This weekend was quite eventful, I must say. I guess what they say is true, false labor is supposed to prepare you for the real thing. But more on that later.

Last week was my first real week of maternity leave and I did get a lot done. But mostly, I was glad to relax a little bit. Sleeping in, even an extra 30 minutes to an hour, really makes a difference. Here are last week’s Life 365 photos.

31 :: We were given this beautiful, handmade quilt at the shower and it makes my rocking chair extra cozy.

1 :: Paul was able to make it to my last OB appointment on Tuesday. It’s nice having him there to hold my hand.

2 :: Um, hello there. Samoa Girl Scout cookie coffee creamer really makes the morning!

3 :: We went a little crazy at Target finishing up the registry {and buying whatever else I could get my hands on}.

4 :: Waiting impatiently for this baby to come.

5 :: Oh hospital cafeteria food, you are just delicious.

6 :: Since baby did not end up coming into the world this weekend, we went to Cheesecake factory instead. This pineapple upside down cake cheesecake was delicious

We will see what happens this week! Happy Monday everyone.

Hometown baby shower

Saturday, Paul and I celebrated our second baby shower with our families and friends in my hometown. My mom, sister, and friends, Cassie and Katie hosted our Harry Potter themed shower and I had a wonderful time. I did not take as many pictures as I would have liked, but I was engrossed in the guests and the fun.

My best friends came together to celebrate with me and our families were just so generous. I was very moved by how much love was poured out for us. This little child is already so blessed to have these people in her life. I just cannot believe our good fortune. God is good.

Here are just some of my favorites from the day.

Cassie, Mariah, me, Katie, and Allisun.

My mother painted this gorgeous watercolor with the baby’s ultrasound image in the center.

Baby’s first tennis outfit.

Katie painted this one.

Our car was filled to the brim on our drive home. We unloaded everything on Sunday night and everything filled our living room and kitchen! All the baby stuff is now ready to go! I know I have said it before, but I just cannot wait to meet our little one.

Life 365 | Week 13

Whew! We had quite the busy weekend! I’m exhausted and swollen and glad to be home, but it was a very special weekend indeed. Currently, I’m staring at a pile of baby clothes and baby gear that I need to sort through. Good thing I’m on maternity leave.

24 :: So I wonder if I will ever get sick of cookies. I’ve been eating them pretty much every single day of this third trimester.

25 :: I started my non-stress tests last week. We were just checking in on baby girl. She is still looking healthy, so I’m very happy.

26 :: Trader Joe’s carrot cake. Holy crap, where has this been all my life??

27 :: Big belly is not amused.

28 :: We went to one of our favorite pizza/brewery places on Friday night. I LOVE getting to spend time with my family. Next time, we will have a little baby with us too!

29 :: My hometown baby shower was on Saturday and it was absolutely perfect. Cassie {my best friend from high school} and Katie and Allisun {my college roommates} came and it was just incredible to see them.

30 :: So this is just some of the stuff that we unloaded from our car when we got back to SF yesterday. This baby made out like a bandit.

This week, I will be doing baby laundry, organizing the changing table and dresser/shelves, and getting the hospital bags packed. We are almost there!
