Hello! Guess where I am right now? I am sitting in front of a the fireplace of our room in Lake Tahoe. There is a glorious blanket of snow covering the mountains and my favorite christmasy trees. The lake is still and shining and I am in my happy place. My husband and I (and the growing family) travel to South Lake Tahoe multiple times per year (I’d go every season if I could). It might be my most favorite place in the whole wide world.
My mom joined us this time and I am so happy she gets to see the kids play in the snow and enjoy a much-deserved vacation. We will be here the week. I’m not the best actually IN the snow as I prefer to look at it from a safe and warm distance, hehe.
We don’t really do snow sports but I’m sure Paul will take the bigger kids to do some tubing while the milk-addict and I will enjoy hot beverages, good books, and that fresh mountain air. We have our favorite restaurants here in South Lake and really, I’m just looking forward to a little respite from the daily grind at home to relax.
This week’s planner spread is one of my most favorites yet. I am in love with these playful Christmas colors and stickers. I’m pretty sure every day I’ll be writing RELAX in big, fat letters in the planner. I tend to take a day or two to really settle into my vacation. Are any of you like that? It’s like I’m GO GO GO with packing and organizing the car and then unpacking and getting settled that I have to remind myself to chillax.
Big shout out to the awesome resort staff who always make our stay lovely and are generous with clean towels and sheets. OHM.
